Seasonal Irrigation Technician

Location: The Greater GTA

 

Position Type: Seasonal (Spring–Fall) | Full-Time

 

Position Overview

Enviroturf is seeking a motivated and dependable Seasonal Irrigation Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and delivering high-quality service to residential and commercial clients.

 

The Irrigation Technician will be responsible for system start-ups, repairs, installations, maintenance, and winterization of irrigation systems, while maintaining strong customer communication and professional standards on-site.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform seasonal irrigation system start-ups and winterizations

• Diagnose and repair irrigation system components (valves, heads, controllers, wiring, pumps)

• Retrofit existing systems

• Conduct wire tracing and electrical troubleshooting

• Perform system audits to improve water efficiency

• Maintain service vehicles, tools, and equipment

• Complete service documentation accurately and on time

• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly with clients

• Follow safety protocols and company procedures

 

Qualifications

• Previous irrigation, landscaping, plumbing, or mechanical experience preferred

• Ability to read irrigation plans and wiring diagrams (asset)

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labour

• Valid G-class driver’s license with clean driving record

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

 

Certifications such as backflow testing, cross-connection, or low-voltage electrical experience are considered assets but are not required.
